06/28/05 - The Clean Air Foundation, along with sponsorship from the Ontario government, the Home Depot, and Toronto Hydro, ran their Keep Cool campaign during the first 3 weeks of July. The campaign encouraged people to bring in their old air conditioners and turn them in for $25 gift certificate from the Home Depot. New Mediatrix was again chosen to design the campaign materials which included a flyer and ad. The flyer used bold swatches of colour and strong visual images, emphasizing the gift certificate giveaway as well as an online contest from Toronto Hydro. "This year, the program was an unbelievable success," said Corey Diamond, program coordinator. "Our goal of collecting 1,000 air conditioners was smashed in the first weekend! Overall, we collected almost 6,000 for the entire 3 week program!...thanks for being part of the team." |
